Septhember 5th, 2009,ALAPPUZHA: Ramankari Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Monday granted three-day police custody of Kari Satheesh, who allegedly stabbed Paul Muthoot to death on the Alappuzha-Changanassery Road last month. After taking Satheesh into custody, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by State Special Branch (CID) SP A V George questioned him. Later, he was brought to Changanassery and other parts of the district for collecting evidence by a police team led by Alappuzha DySP K M Tomi.Manu admitted to the SIT that it was Satheesh who had stabbed Paul. Manu also admitted to the SIT that it was Sathar who had stabbed him when he tried to prevent the goons from attacking Paul.The period of the police custody of gangsters Jayachandran and Sathar, who were granted to police custody by the court on Saturday, will end at 4 pm on Tuesday. Now, Kari Satheesh, Sathar, Jayachandran and Manu are under the custody of Alappuzha south police. The SIT on Sunday brought Sathar and Jayachandran to Changanassery and Tiruvalla as part of collecting evidence.
