Om Prakash and Puthampalam Rajesh are in remand


14th September 2009,Alapuzha: The Ramankari First Class Judicial Magistrate Court ruled here on Monday that Om Prakash and Puthampalam Rajesh, the two accused in the Paul M Muthoot case, will be under policy custody for 7 days. The prosecution had sought 12 days custody of Om Prakash and Rajesh for further questioning. According to the prosecution warrant the two were to be produced before the cout on Monday, 21st. Goonda head Om Prakash is accused number 15 and Rajesh accused no 16.
The charge against them is that the two had absconded with the car used. Meanwhile, the bail plea of the accused was rejected by the Thiruvananthapuram sub court. The prosecution said that both Rajesh and Om Prakash were accused in a number of murder cases. The prosecution also felt that since both were goonda leaders bail cannot be granted. At present, 17 cases exist against Om Praksh and 25 against Puthanpalam Rajesh.District also had produced arrest warrant against Om Prakash under Goonda Act.
Two notorious gangsters--Om Prakash and Puthenpalan Rajesh, wanted in connection with the murder of Paul M George, today surrendered before a court in Tirunelveli at 11 am this morning.The two remanded have been jailed in Palayamkotta.
On wednesday september 9th Tamil Nadu Police informed the arrest of the two goons to Kerala Police. A special team of Police headed by ADGP Chandrashekhar has moved to Tirunelveli and in high protection they returned to Kerala.
