Thiruvananthapuram: As the signature films of previous two years' IFFK arouse many controversies this year Chalachithra Academy decides to observe the production of signature film. This year Academy didn't given contract directly for the signature film production. Instead of that they gave an advertisement in the newspapers and invite applications. Nearly 14 entries have posted into the Academy. A technical committee, after analyzing the synopsis and example SHOT they selected Saju Surendran a native of Thrissur, studying in Pune Film Institute. But the production should be under the scanner of Academy. Trying to avoid all complaints, this time Academy expect a controversy-complaint free IFFK. The welcome committee having Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan as chief patron and Cultural Minister M A Baby as president also constitued here on 4th Tuesday 2009.
