ASEAN Treaty signed; Voice of protest in Kerala

Kozhikode: As India signed the ASEAN treaty in Bangkok there is the voice of protest from Kerala. Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan on Thursday, August 13 slammed the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for not keeping his words regarding the ASEAN trade pact. The state has still not received the draft copy of the deal, which the center promised to give before the deal was signed. Chief Minister also said that, the deal is being signed without clearing the qualms of the state. Earlier, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had assured the Kerala leaders that, there are enough safeguards in the agreement to protect the interests of Indian farmers, fishermen and others. But the unexpected signing makes the Kerala people anxious about the after effects of the ASEAN treaty. Many products in which Kerala keeps as monopoly will export to the state without the barrier of tax with the help of this treaty. Runner, fish all included in this. the negative list also not given by the government.

SAY NO TO ASEAN TREATY… JOIN HANDS AGAINST IT..
    Come on friends…
Lets raise our voice against the ASEAN Treaty, which has been signed by the UPA Govt.

This Pact, if implemented, will make a devastating impact in our economy by adversely affecting our Agricultural sector, to whom we have to give our prime importance.

We will have to face an immense import of low quality agricultural products from outside the country, which will lead to lack of market to our own produce.

This can lead the poor Indian farmer to suicide, which is the only solution he will ultimately find.

We, the young generation should raise our voice of protest against this. Because tomorrow is ours, we are the reapers of tomorrow… If there is nothing else remaining … what will be there for us to reap????… think..!!

Are you not remembering the famous dialogue of the character Gowradhanan (Mohanlal) in the film Kalapani??…” AN INDIAN’S BACK IS NOT THE FOOT-BOARD TO THE WHITE MAN”
This is what the Indian youth has to say to the U.P.A.

Try not to convert India into an American colony…, which can only ask for a 2nd Freedom Struggle..

Throw away those “Cattle Class Priests”… who is “restless amidst the heap of Indian Files…”….. People like him are the real curse to India… and to our heritage…..

“Ponnu kaaykunna maramayalum …..Purakku chaanjal… Vettanam..”.. kadaykkal thanne..
I, an average Indian.. I expect atleast, such a reaction fron my Government, the mighty UPA.
