Thiruvananthapuram: 9th August Sunday; After the LDF had taken a decision to reduce the fees in the Government controlled self financing colleges the Students organizations were still in different opinion. SFI and AISF had expressed a difference of opinion on the LDF committee's recommendation to reduce the fee structure. When SFI wholeheartedly welcomed the decision, AISF and KSU demanded for a complete withdrawal of the hiked fee.
The LDF meet which was convened on Saturday has recommended lowering the present fee structure in self-financing colleges under the state government. Because of the treaty with the College management Association the fee in self-financing engineering colleges under government was raised from Rs 6500 to Rs 25,000 per semester.
