H1N1 test-Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology gets the green signal


Thiruvananthapuram:On tuesday, 18th August 2009, The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has approved the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) as an authorised diagnostic centre for testing the H1N1 virus.
This decision was taken after the visit of a team of experts led by S Badrinath, Head of the Department of Microbiology, JIPMER Puduchery to the RGCB’s laboratory yesterday.
The team had submitted report to centre yesterday saying that the all the facilities in the laboratory are satisfactory.
