IFFK 2009 Competition Section Films Announced

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Chalachithra Academy on friday, October 2009, announced the final list of films compete in upcoming International Film Festival of Kerala-IFFK2009. The Academy also produced the list of seven cinemas comes under the Indian Cinema and Malayalam Cinema section. The noted film of Hariharan,M T, Mammootty team's 'Pazhassiraaja' included in the world cinema.
There are 14 films in the competition section. The films are Homero Manzi, Un Poeta En la Torment (Argentina) Z’har(Akgeria/France), Izulu Lami(SouthAfrica), Orada(Turkey), Jermal(Indonasia), The TreelessMountain(SouthKora/USA), BirzhanSal(Kazhakhsthan), True Noon(Tadjikisthan), Darbare-ye Elly(Iran), La Mosca en la Ceniza(Argentina), Do paise ki dhoop, Char aane ki baarish(India), Road to Sangham(India). Sufi Paranja Kadha and Madhyavenal are the Malayalam films in this section.
Harishchandrachi factory, kaalbela, Ek tho chance, Gandh, Vihir, Sontha ooru, MayaBaza were included in the Indian Cinema section.
The Malayalam film section includes Kerala cafe, orkkuka vallappozhum, Ramanam, Ritu, Pakalnakshathrangal, BhoomiMalayalam and Pathaam nilayile theevandi. The film festival is from December 11th to 18th, will conduct in nearly 10 theaters of Trivandrum.
A committee comprises of P T Kunhumohammed as chairman and K N Shaji, Usha Sakhariyas, K K Chandran, S G Raman, Rasy, M SarithaVerama as members selected the films. Dr.K S Sreekumar is the member secretary of the committee.
