9th state School IT Fest @ Technopark

Thiruvananthapuram: The 9th state School IT Fest 2009-10 is scheduled to be held on January 20th and 21st at Technopark Thiruvananthapuram. Fest would be inaugurated by Education Minister M A Baby at 12 noon. M A Wahid MLA would preside over the function whereas Cecilia Barbieri, UNESCO's education Pro gramme specialist for south Asia would deliver the key address. The Education Minister's awards for the school with the best computer lab in the state in the government and aided sections and other awards would also be presented during the Inaugural function.
As many as 300 participants statewide would compete in various IT competitions such as digital painting, Programming, Multimedia presentation, IT quiz, IT project etc. Classes on subjects like Information Communication Technology and Society, Making animations would be taking place in two days fest.On 21st, from 2pm onwards, Dr.Achuth Sankar S Nair, Director of Bio-Informatics department of University of Kerala would deliver a talk on ''Oh God please do not show me a way', for the budding talents.
IT@School victers channel would telecast a special programme on 2oth and 21st at 3pm and 8pm respectively.
Thiruvananthapuram Mayor C Jayanbabu would inaugurate the closing ceremony.
