''there was a Headly link'':

Later home secretary G K Pillai said the blasts were definitely connected to arrested American jihadi David Headley, as Osho Ashram in Pune was very close to where the bomb went off. He also said arrested terrorists in India had confirmed that they had seen Headley's videos.

Headley had clearly spoken of the `Karachi project' which was backed by Pakistan's ISI and of the presence of IM men who are currently on the run for their involvement in 2008 bombings in the Pakistani coastal city. "I would say that there was a Headley link," Pillai told a news channel.

Pillai indicated that India would soon move for access to Headley. "We have already asked for access to David Headley. He is currently in grand jury indictment. We have to file a chargesheet, then move a court for Letter Rogatory and then approach the American court for his access."
