IFFK 2011 AT A GLANCE

The 16th edition of International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) will have its screenings in 11 theatres in Trivandrum, including Kairali, Sree, Remya, Dhanya, Sree Kumar, Sree Vishakh, Sree Padmanabha, Ajantha, Kalabhavan and New Theatre along with the Nisagandhi open auditorium.
The inauguration on the 9th of December and the closing ceremony on the 16th will be held at the Nishagandhi Auditorium
Screening in Nishagandhi includes the opening film, the films in the ‘Malayalam Cinema- Now’ section and the film winning the top award at the festival (on the closing day). Films in ‘Malayalam Cinema Now’ division is free for the public.
All the other 200 films in the competition and other sections will be screened in the other 10 theaters.
The show timing starts in 8.45 am and the last screening will be in 8.45 or 9.00 pm.
Some of the seats in Kairali theatre will be reserved for the people from film industry. It is applicable only for the 6.00 pm screenings.
This year also there is the reservation system in balcony; you can do it through SMS or IFFK website. But all the other seats are on first come first serve basis.
For the first time Festival book will be available in IFFK website, www.iffk.in this year.
